Here's a closeup of the triple framed wall. It's a 2x4, then a 2x6, then a 2x4 again. It was intended to be only 9" deep, but the concrete wall was so out of whack and not level that I had to frame another wall on the inside to cover it up. We plan on having built-in bookcases below the windows.
